'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camps organised in Raghunath Bazar and Kunjwani Chowk in Jammu city'

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is progressing smoothly in Jammu city. On Day Three of the yatra today, the specially designed IEC (Information, Education, Communication) van arrived in the famous Raghunath Bazar to create awareness among general public about variousinitiatives taken by the Government  of India for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years to improve people’s lives, especially in the Valley. During the event, a health camp was  organized where people got themselves tested for several diseases and ailments free of cost. Anothercamp provided the facility to people toget new Aadhaar cards issued and the existing ones updated.


As part of the yatra, a pledge - Viksit Bharat Sankalp  —   to make India a  developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047 —   was administered to the participants.

In the afternoon, the IEC van reached Kunjwani Chowkto create awareness about Central Government’s welfare schemes like PM SVANidhi, Mudra Loans, Stand Up India and Start Up India,  Digital Payments revolution,  PM eBus Sewa,  Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas (Urban)  PM Ujjwala Yojana among others.As part of the campaign, on spot services like PM Svanidhi Camp, Health Camp and, Aadhar updation camp was organized.

Launched by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modion November 15, 2023, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aimsto reach out to people, create awareness and provide benefits of welfare schemes on sanitation, essential financial services, electricity, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc. The Viksit Bharat Campaignaims to cover over 2.55 lakh Gram Panchayats and over 3,600 urban local bodies by January 25, 2024, touching every district of the country.
