'Saturn and Venus will be seen meeting each other in the sky this evening'

The sky will witness an exciting astronomical event today (Sunday) evening. Saturn and Venus, two important planets located millions of kilometers away from each other, are going to meet in the evening. In this, Saturn and Venus will be seen meeting each other. People interested in astronomy can watch this thrilling event in the evening.

Bhopal's National Award-winning science broadcaster Sarika Gharu told that after sunset, Earth's neighboring planet Venus and the sixth planet of the solar system, Saturn, will be seen meeting each other in the sky towards the southwest. During this, there will be a difference of only 0 degree 21 minutes between them. This event is called the conjunction of Saturn and Venus.

Sarika said that Venus would be 230 million km from the Earth, while Saturn would be about 1600 million km away from these planets which would be visible after around 6.00 pm. Despite this difference in distance, their angle will be such that they will be seen meeting each other. In this Venus would be shining with a magnitude of minus 3.9 and Saturn would be shining with a magnitude of 0.7. There will not be much time to see this phenomenon of Saturn-Venus meeting, because after 7.00 pm these meeting planets will also be preparing to set. This interesting phenomenon can be seen between 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
