Continuing crackdown on illegal mining by the Samba Police, eleven vehicles including one excavator have been seized across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams of Police Post Mansar headed by Incharge Police Post Mansar and Police Post Rakh Amb Talli headed by Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba have seized two dumper bearing regd. Nos. JK21G-0036, JK21H-0028 and one JCB without registration No. for illegal mining/transportation of construction material in their respective jurisdictional area. Whereas, a Police party of Police Post Rajpura headed by Incharge Police Post Rajpura falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal while on patrolling duty in the area has seized two tractor trolleys bearing regd. Nos. JK21C-0409 and JK21G-0845 for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
Similarly, a Police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana during patrolling in the area has seized five tractor trolleys bearing regd. Nos. JK21J-5547, JK02DE-7273, JK21J-3663 and two tractor trolleys without registration Nos for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
Likewise, a Police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO PS Ramgarh during patrolling in the jurisdictional area has seized one dumper bearing regd. No.JK08M-9293 for illegal transportation of construction material.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
