Eight people suffered burn injuries after a blast took place inside a vehicle in Larkipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday.

Eight people were injured after a blast took place inside a vehicle in Larkipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have denied any terror angle in the incident.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, “Four people have suffered burn injuries in the blast inside a vehicle in Larkipora, Anantnag. There is no terror angle in the incident."

A vibrator inside a Tata pickup truck exploded, in which eight non-locals, who were onboard the vehicle, suffered injuries. The pickup truck was from Dooru.

The injured have been shifted to GMC Janglatmandi Anantnag for treatment.

The injured people have been identified as Chato Kumar (18), Param Jeet (22), Bhawan Kumar (21), Fiqan (17), Jiten (21), Titu Kumar (23), Matlesh Kumar (19) and Shan Kumar (17).

All the injured are residents of Bihar.
