'J&K Ex-Services League welcomes G-20 meeting being held in Kashmir'

G-20 MEET IN KASHMIR - J&K EX-SERVICES LEAGUE WELCOMES IT 

1.JKESL welcomed  and fully endorsed the decision of Indian Govt to conduct G-20 Tourism Working Group Meeting at Srinagar. The complete veteran community of J&K is thankful to the Modi Govt for this move. J&K Ex-Services League (JKESL) is a Govt approved and Registered NGO of Ex-Servicemen, War Widows & serving Soldiers. JKESL is the biggest, oldest and Govt recognised body since 1951 which is engaged in the welfare of the Veterans, War Widows and serving soldiers of J&K. Brig Ghansara Singh, RB, OBE, OBI was the founder of this organisation in 1951. It has more than 22,000 members as on date. 
2.India is holding the third G-20 Tourism working Group Meeting in the Kashmir Valley from 22 May 2023 to 24 May 2023. Apart from G-20 members, delegates from guest countries and several international organisations are participating. India’s special invitee guest countries include Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Spain, Oman, Nigeria and UAE. It is a master stroke by Indian Govt to hold a G-20 Tourism Working Group Meeting in J&K which has provided an opportunity to India to get recognition to Jammu & Kashmir at the global level.
3.G-20 meet at Srinagar will be the first major Global /  International event in J&K since Aug 2019, when the state was divided into two Union Territories and its special status under Article 370 of the constitution was revoked. 
4.Despite resistance from Pakistan, China, Turkey & Saudi Arabia, India had announced Srinagar as the venue for the G-20 meet. The Govt of Pakistan has not only objected to India’s decision but also has asked its allied countries like China, Turkey & Saudi Arabia to blacklist India & stop showing support for the said conference.
5.With the conduct of G-20 Tourism Working Group Meeting at Srinagar, J&K is getting a chance to exhibit its market prospects, eco-tourism ventures and cultural assets to the leading global nations. The G-20 also offers a chance to the administration of J&K to consolidate the benefits claimed to have resulted from repealing Article 370. In addition boost to film tourism, benefit from interest shown by Multinationals in investing in J&K.
6.Successful conduct of G-20 meet in Srinagar will be a slap on the face of opposing countries. It will prove to the world community that there is total peace in the UT of J&K and Pakistan’s false propaganda will disappear. Also the video made by representatives of Saudi Arabia posted on the social media proves that if there is any Paradise on Earth, it is the Valley of Kashmir.

This is Srinagar, all decked up to host the G20 Meet.
