Executive Councillor for Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi today inspected the under-construction Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) office-cum-resource centre near Council Secretariat at Kurbathang.
The three storey state-of-art building is being constructed with steel and pre-fabricated iron material at a cost of 12 cr under SDP and 60 percent of the work has been completed.
The Executive Councillor expressed optimism and satisfaction over the work progress and instructed to complete the project as soon as possible.
He instructed to submit the plan for land development in the building compound and further advised to start the work on land development for early completion of the project.
The Executive Councillor said that the new technology with steel and iron is good for easy modification. He said funds of the building will be increased with the passage of time. The material of the building in case of dismantling will not be useless but could be used again.
The EC was accompanied by ACD Ghulam Muhammad and officials of Central Public Works Department who are executing its first project in the district.
