Two military aircraft collided with each other during the air show in Dallas, USA on Saturday, after which they caught fire. 6 people have died in the accident. A plume of smoke appeared in the sky after the planes collided. 6 people were present in both the planes. Emergency crews arrived at the Dallas airport after the incident and began rescue operations.

Leah Block, a spokeswoman for the Commemorative Air Force, the company that organized the Veterans Day aerobatic feat and the company of the crashed plane, said five crew members of the B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and five crew members of the P-63 King Cobra fighter were killed. One person was on board. The incident took place at around 1.20 pm at the Dallas Executive Airport, about 16 kilometers from the city center. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene after the accident.



Eyewitness Anthony Montoya, who saw the planes collide, told that I was standing there. I was completely taken aback and could not understand anything. Everyone around was gasping. Everyone was crying bitterly. Everyone was in shock. Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson said the National Transportation Safety Board has taken control of the airport. Local police and fire departments are providing assistance.

Several videos posted on Twitter showed the two planes colliding mid-air before descending rapidly. In this video, the plane caught fire and a plume of smoke is visible in the sky. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the incident.
