The 74th Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervour at Government Degree College Budhal by its faculty members, staff and students.
The event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. Mohd Mazammal Hussain, Principal of the college, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Ajaz Hussain Shah, NSS programme Officer, it included cultural performances, speech on constitution and singing of patriotic songs by the NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and students of the college.
Principal of the college in his address reminded everyone of the responsibilities they have on their shoulders to make the country proud, even with small actions. He also highlighted the importance of the constitution and opined that we as Indians are fortunate to have one of the largest constitutions of the world.
The event was concluded with formal vote of thanks by Dr. Daya Ram Associate NCC Officer
