'Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 pm on suspension of MPs'

On Monday, the opposition once again created a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha raising the issue of suspension of 12 MPs. Due to this, the proceedings were first adjourned till 12 o'clock and later till 2 o'clock.

The opposition created a ruckus in the House and termed the suspension of the MPs as arbitrary and against the rules. Meanwhile, showing solidarity with the suspended MPs, Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor has also refused to be a part of Parliament TV. He hosts the program 'To the Point' in Sansad TV.

The MP said he believed that accepting an invitation from Parliament TV to host a show was part of the best traditions of India's parliamentary democracy. Reaffirming the principle that we should be involved in the most connected institutions irrespective of political differences.

Meanwhile, RJD leader Manoj Jha and TMC MP Sukhendu Shekhar Roy had given an adjournment motion on the Nagaland issue in the Rajya Sabha. There is a possibility that the Home Minister can make a statement on this issue in Parliament today.
