The 10th day of the Commonwealth Games 2022 proved to be a golden day for India. India today won a total of 15 medals, including five gold, four silver and six bronze, of which three gold came in boxing. The fourth gold medal came in the triple jump. Apart from this, the pair of Achanta Sharath Kamal and Sreeja Akula did wonders in table tennis in mixed doubles and won the gold medal. The same, Indian women's and hockey team won silver and bronze respectively.



Three gold medals, one silver in boxing



Today on Day 10, three boxers - Nikhat Zareen (Women's Light Flyweight), Amit Panghal (Men's Flyweight) and Neetu (Women's Minimum Weight) won their respective finals.



Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen on Sunday won India's 17th gold medal in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Nikhat won the gold medal by defeating Carly MC Naul of Northern Ireland 5-0 in the one-sided final of the women's light flyweight (50kg) category.



Before Zareen, Indian boxers Neetu Ghanghas and Amit Panghal won gold medals for India today. Neetu claimed gold by defeating Demi Jade of England 5-0 in the gold medal match on Sunday.



At the same time, in the men's 48-51 kg weight category, Amit Panghal won the gold medal. Amit defeated Kieran McDonald of England 5-0 in the gold medal bout and won gold in boxing on Sunday.



Sagar Ahlawat of India had to be satisfied with silver in the super heavyweight category i.e. 92 kg. They were defeated 5-0 by Delicious Ory of England in the final.



Four medals including one gold in athletics



In the men's triple jump, India won the top two medals, with Aldhos Paul winning the gold (17.03m jump) and Abdullah Abubakar Narangolintevid taking the silver (17.02 jump). Meanwhile, Annu Rani and Sandeep Kumar won bronze medals for India in the women's javelin throw and men's 10km race respectively.



In Table Tennis, Bharaj won one gold and one silver.



In mixed doubles, India's Achanta Sharath Kamal and Sreeja Akula won gold by defeating Malaysian pair of Jawen Choong and Karen Lean 11-4, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6.



Earlier, the pair of Achanta Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran won the silver medal in the tennis doubles event. The Indian pair was defeated by England's Paul Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford in the gold medal match.



The Indian pair lost 11-8, 8-11, 3-11, 11-7, 4-11 to the English pair and had to settle for silver.



Indian women's hockey team won bronze



India won the bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 after beating New Zealand 2-1 in penalty shootout thanks to a fine performance by captain and goalkeeper Savita. Saurav Ghoshal-Deepika Pallikal won bronze in squash



Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal won the bronze medal in mixed doubles of squash. She defeated Australian pair of Lobban Donna and Piley Cameron 2-0 in the bronze medal match. Pallikal and Sourav won the first game 11-8 and the second game 11-4.
