Petrol and diesel prices continue to rise in the country. Government Oil Marketing Company on Tuesday again increased the price of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol and diesel has been increased by 80 paise per litre. After this increase, the price of petrol has crossed the level of Rs 104 per liter in the capital Delhi to Rs 104.61 and diesel to Rs 95.87 per liter.



The price of petrol and diesel has been increased 13 times in the last 15 days. Due to this, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 9.20 per liter in the capital Delhi during these 15 days. The process of increasing the price of petrol and diesel started from 22 March, which is continuing except on 24 March and 1 April.



After the increase made today, petrol is being sold at the rate of Rs 119.67 per liter and diesel at Rs 103.92 per liter in the country's financial capital Mumbai. The new price of petrol in Kolkata has crossed Rs 114.28 and the new price of diesel has crossed Rs 99 to Rs 99.02. In Chennai, petrol crossing the Rs 110 level is being sold at Rs 110.11 per liter and diesel at Rs 100.19 per liter after crossing Rs 100 level.

In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, petrol has reached the level of Rs 104.45 per liter and diesel at Rs 96.03 per liter. Petrol is being sold at a price of Rs 115.46 per liter and diesel at Rs 100.32 per liter in Patna, the capital of Bihar. In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, today the price of petrol has increased to Rs 107.89 per liter and the price of diesel has increased to Rs 101.18 per liter. In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 117.27 per liter and that of diesel to Rs 100.34 per liter. In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 110.25 per liter, while diesel is being sold here at Rs 94.01 per liter.



Due to the heavy tax (VAT) of the state government, petrol is being sold at Rs 122.05 per liter and diesel at Rs 104.53 per liter in Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Similarly, in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, petrol is being sold at Rs 119.06 per liter and diesel at Rs 102 per liter, crossing the level of Rs 119 per liter.

The accumulated losses of Indian oil companies in 2022 have become huge due to the reduction in the production of crude oil producing countries and the rise in the price of crude in the international market due to the Russo-Ukraine war. In the current circumstances, these oil companies are being forced to continuously increase the price of petrol and diesel.
