On 09th February 2024 during the night hours, vigilant BSF troops on duty intercepted movement of a suspected drone on the border near Village Rossey in district Gurdaspur. The troops intercepted the drone and successfully shot it. 

The damaged drone lost control and fell in a farming field. The likely dropping area was immediately cordoned by the BSF troops and an extensive search was carried out in which BSF troops successfully recovered 01 small drone in partially broken condition.

The recovered drone is a Quadcopter (Model - DJI Mavic 3 Classic, made in China).

Keen observation and quick response with exemplary shooting skills of the BSF troops made yet another dent on the malicious plans of adversaries to create mayhem in the border area by drone intrusion.

Recovery of a drone jointly by BSF and Punjab Police in Tarn Taran district.

On the morning of 28th February 2024, vigilant BSF troops intercepted the movement of a suspected drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district. Following protocol, BSF troops promptly tracked its movement to anticipate its dropping zone.

In a coordinated effort, a comprehensive joint search operation with Punjab Police was conducted in the expected dropping zone and surrounding areas. At about 07:40 am, the search party successfully recovered 01 drone in a farming field adjacent to Kalash Havelian village, Tarn Taran district.

The recovered drone is identified as a Quadcopter (Model - DJI Matrice 300 RTK).

The diligent observation by BSF troops, coupled with the collaborative efforts of Punjab Police has resulted in yet another successful recovery of a drone with illicit motives from across the border.
