74th Republic Day on 26 January 2023 is being celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm across the region. Public along with school students are seen waving National Flag with honour and chanting patriotic slogans. A program was organised at Kotranka to celebrate this special day.
A certificate of appreciation along with a momento was conferred to Dr Iqbal Malik BMO Kandi for his outstanding service in the field of Health. Block Kandi is considered to be one of the most difficult areas to work in due to its tough terrain, scattered habitation, extreme weather and other socio-cultural issues. Despite these challenges,
since his posting in Block Kandi in 2018, Dr Iqbal Malik has tried his best to provide quality healthcare services at the doorsteps of the people.
Several field camps in outreach areas have been organised for the welfare of public.
Health checkup camps, awareness camps, SEHAT camps, Vaccination camps etc are a routine in Block Kandi. Besides every Saturday is celebrated as School Health Day.
Mega camps were also organised in every village and panchayat under JK Integrated Social Security Scheme so that senior citizens get their certificates in their own village saving their time and money.
The unique people friendly initiatives of Health Block Kandi are highly appreciated by the public and Dr Malik has received various awards and appreciation for his meritorious service including Honable LG COVID Warriors Award.
