'LPG cylinder becomes expensive again, price crosses Rs 1000 in Delhi'

In the midst of the Russia-Ukraine war, the common man has suffered another setback on the inflation front. Public sector oil and gas marketing companies have increased the price of domestic cooking gas by Rs 3.50 per cylinder and that of commercial gas by Rs 8 per cylinder. In Delhi, the price of domestic LPG cylinder has crossed Rs 1000. The hiked LPG rates have come into effect.



With this increase, from Thursday, a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in the capital Delhi will be available for Rs 1003, in the country's financial capital Mumbai for Rs 1002.50, in Kolkata for Rs 1029 and in Chennai for Rs 1018.50. Similarly, now the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has increased to Rs 2354 in Delhi, Rs 2306 in Mumbai, Rs 2454 in Kolkata and Rs 2507 in Chennai.



It is noteworthy that for the second time this month, the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder has increased. Earlier on May 7, 2022, the price of LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 50. Within a year, the price of domestic LPG cylinder has increased from Rs 800 to more than Rs 1000.
