Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested four peddlers and recovered narcotics in Handwara area.
Today on May 12, 2023, a police party of Police Station Handwara, while on patrolling duty at New Bus stand Handwara, apprehended four persons who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.
On search, around 338 grams of *Charas* like substance was recovered from their possession. The persons have been identified as:
1. *Aijaz Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Shafi R/o Braripora*.
2.*Moomin Masood Qureshi S/o Masood Ul Hussain Qureshi R/o Zargar Mohalla Handwara*
3. *Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat S/o Nazir Ahmad R/o Herpora Handwara*.
4. Juvenile, name withheld.
In relation to this, *FIR No.105/2023 U/S 8/20, 29 NDPS Act* registered in PS Handwara and investigation initiated.
