A contact was established between terrorists and security forces in the early morning in Renji forest area of Aragam, Bandipora. Search operation is going on.
2 soldiers sustained injuries during the operation in Bandipora. Both taken to the hospital and are said to be stable.
While the forces were conducting a house-to-house search in Chintibandi village, a gunfight broke out, during which the jawan sustained injuries.
On its part, the police said contact was established between terrorists and security forces early in the morning in the Renji forest area.
Meanwhile, helicopters have also been pressed into service to aid the security operations which are currently underway.
