Dr Koshal Sharma, JKPS, Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic City Jammu, reviewed the functioning of traffic police in city Jammu at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu
The review meeting was attended by Sh Raj Paul Singh Addl. SP Traffic Jammu, Ms Shivali Kotwal DySP (T) city north, Sh Bikram Kumar DySP (T) city south, Sh Neeraj Paddyar DySP (T) city rural, All DTI's of city Jammu, Inspr Khushwant Singh I/c Legal section, Inspr Rakesh Kumar MTO, Sh Santosh Kumar OSI, MHC Bhushan, HC Ravi Ji & Sadhu Ram of Statical Data Branch (SDB) of Traffic Police Jammu.
The performance of each officer during the months of Oct/Nov were assessed and directions were imparted to all the concerned to make traffic of the city hassle free so that general public does not face any inconvenience. Moreover visible offences like driving without crash helmet, without seatbelt or driving licence , mobile phone use while driving be strictly dealt with.
On the occasion, SSP Traffic Jammu ,stressed that action should be taken against wrong parkings which are cause of congestion in the city.
SSP Traffic also stressed upon the officers to take all necessary measures to smoothen the flow of traffic at Parade, Indira Chowk, Dogra Chowk, Bus stand, Canal road, Talab Tillo Road, Janipur, Ambphalla, Bakshi nagar, Bikram Chowk, Narwal, Wave mall, Kunjwani, Satwari & main towns of Akhnoor, Bishnah, RS Pura, Nagrota etc.
While reviewing, SSP Traffic also appreciated the officers for their best performance in regulating traffic during the months. He further directed that they should work hard for the safety of the people and while dealing with different violators, their conduct should be honest, transparent and firm but not harsh.
SSP Traffic also stressed that in view of forthcoming marriage season and increase in traffic , officials should also stress on regulation of traffic to ensure congestion free traffic movement in the city .
