Amirchand, the chief priest of Maa Vaishno Devi, passed away on Saturday. He died of a heart attack on Saturday morning.



According to the information, Amirchand Pujari woke up around 5.00 am on Saturday morning and suddenly felt severe pain in his chest while offering prayers in the morning. Seeing his critical condition, the relatives immediately rushed him to Narayan Hospital of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Where after examination the doctors declared him brought dead.



At the same time, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha also expressed deep condolences on the death of the chief priest of Mata Vaishno Devi. He wrote in his condolence message that the news of the death of Shri Amirchand ji, the chief priest of Mata Vaishno Devi ji, is extremely sad. I pay my humble tribute to him. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family and their followers. I pray to God to give place to the holy soul at your feet.



85-year-old Amirchand Pujari left behind his entire family including his wife Kailashi Devi, son Lokesh Pujari, Naresh Pujari. There was a wave of mourning in Katra as soon as the news of the death of Amirchand ji was received. Administrative officials, along with local residents, reached his house. Expressed condolences to the family. The last rites of Amirchand Pujari ji will be performed on Saturday evening at Katra's crematorium.
